SELECTED WORK - Call it adolescent angst or the pitfalls of youth, but an irresistible interest in the figure after graduating was accompanied by a very ardent need to express myself through a ‘Romanticized’ notion of circumstances and the world around me at the time. Putting aside any obvious shortfalls, the resulting work reflects what could be said to be a very turbulent time in my personal life rendered tame! Often exposing in an eclectic sense an interest in cinema, the Romantics and Classical Art, the figure, along with the natural world and my immediate surroundings, was used symbolically for this purpose.
